Terms of Trade

I am not currently registered for GST. Prices here therefor do not include GST and are the prices you will pay.

Callout Fee

I charge a callout (travel) fee based on your location. This is my minimum charge.

  • $25 for Rakaia and Chertsey townships
  • $40 Dunsandel, Leeston and Southbridge and locations exceeding 10km
  • $60 for Methven and Ashburton and locations exceeding 20km
  • $80 for Darfield and Rolleston

If I need return to complete the repairs after ordering parts then a return travel fee may be added unless I can complete the repair during another visit to your area.

Alternatively you can bring your appliance to me for repair but you need to book a time to ensure I am home.

Service charges

My rates vary with the work required:

  • $50 per hour for tech services such as setting up a new TV or help with your computer. 
  • $80 per hour for appliance repairs. 
  • All hourly rates are charged in half an hour blocks with a minimum of one hour.
  • $20 per job for small appliance repairs done in my workshop
  • Test and Tag is $50 per hour plus $1.50 per item.
  • All parts will be quoted
  • All other jobs will be quoted based on these rates. If you do not accept the quote you will still need to pay any callout fees.
Quotes

If I quote for a repair and you do not accept the quote then you will be charged for time spent.

Alternatively you can allow me to dispose of the equipment for no charge.   

Warranties

I offer a three month warranty on work done. If the machine fails for the same reason within this period I will repair free of further charge.

I also extend this to new parts and this may be extended if the supplier provides a longer period.

If I offer you a second hand part then this is at your risk and if the part fails and a new part is required then this will be at your cost.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and ensuring safe access to the appliances needing service.

Payment Terms

If you are a new client, payment is due on completion of the work. For returning clients and businesses payment is due 14 days after completion of the work. These terms are negotiable, however if you have not agreed alternative terms with me then these terms apply.

If payment is late and you have not responded to reminder notices, I reserve the right to submit your invoice to Baycorp for collection.
